About 2018 Chevrolet Sonic
The Sonic's fun-driving spirit returns with an available Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine rated at 138 horsepower, backed by a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.
The Sonic is offered in LS, LT and Premier trims on sedan models. The hatchback returns exclusively in RS guise, offered in LT and Premier trims.
New for 2018: The Sonic RS package adds black bowtie emblems; Fun and Sun package now includes 17-inch aluminum wheels -- and it also includes 1.4L turbo engine and sunroof -- available on sedan and hatchback models. A new exterior color is added: Ivy Metallic.
The styling complements comfort and convenience features, such as heated steering wheel and a standard 7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen for the new MyLink system. Rear Park Assist adds to one of the most comprehensive safety packages in the segment.
Sonic's athletic exterior has an expressive look. It is a detailed design, with the front end featuring a hood, front fascia and lighting elements (introduced on the 2017 model year Sonic). Projector-beam headlamps are standard, along with available LED daytime running lamps.
Sonic's thoughtful interior has a focus on delivering comfort, convenience and technology. A detailed gauge cluster incorporates an analog speedometer that adds a degree of refinement to the cabin,
Sonic offers 10 standard airbags, Stabilitrak electronic stability control and an anti-lock braking system to help provide peace of mind. A rearview camera is now standard on all models.
